The Victorians believed Coral would protect you from evil, traditionally children would wear coral necklaces and it was thought to ward off diseases, illnesses, evil spirits and danger. Naples Italy were the main sources of Coral. Coral was the favourite Christening present for the Victorians.
This beautiful Georgian pin features a stunning flame like coral branches set on a brass pin. The pin could be worn as a statement brooch or as a hair ornament. It is a versatile piece.
